Heritage Expeditions has announced seven new voyages for Heritage Discoverer’s maiden 2027-28 season, which goes on sale on July 28. 

Formerly known as the Silver Explorer, the Heritage Discoverer will sail High Arctic and Antarctic Peninsula voyages during its maiden season with Heritage, as well as expeditions on the European and Atlantic coasts. 

The ship is also set to sail a 21-day preview voyage Nov. 19 – Dec. 9, 2026, roundtrip from Ushuaia. 

“Today sees an exciting evolution of Heritage Expeditions as we chart a new course, while continuing our legacy of authentic, responsible small ship expedition travel to some of the wildest, least explored and biologically rich regions on the planet,” said Aaron Russ, Heritage Expeditions owner and director. 

“We are excited to return to some familiar shores aboard our new ship Heritage Discoverer, and explore lesser-known waters on new adventures as we introduce our unique expedition experience to these incredible parts of the world.” 

The new itineraries include a mix of remote destinations including Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland, South Georgia, the Falklands and the Faroes, Hebrides, Orkney, Shetland and Channel Islands, with explorations of UNESCO World Heritage sites, prehistoric monuments, culture capitals and wine regions along the coasts of Spain, Portugal and France. 

Guests and agents can save 20 percent on all berths, while returning guests get an additional 10 percent off for bookings made by August 31, 2026, the company said in a press release. 

New voyages: 

• Atlantic Shores Odyssey Cruise, 12 days| May 2-13, 2027, Lisbon to Portsmouth
  Guests discover the history, culture, cuisine and maritime heritage of Western Europe on this expedition cruise exploring Portugal, Spain, France, the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Sark and the United Kingdom.  

• British Isles, Ireland & Scotland Expedition Cruise, 12 days | May 12-23, 2027 Portsmouth to Glasgow
  This is an expedition cruise through England, Ireland, Wales, Channel Islands, Hebrides, St Kilda and the Isles of Scilly, Man, Skye, Rùm and Iona & Islay. 

• Scotland, Faroe Islands & Iceland Cruise, 13 days | May 22 – June 3, 2027, Glasgow to Reykjavík
  This voyage explores the remote islands and isles from Glasgow to Reykjavík, including the Faroe Islands, allowing guests to discover Viking history, prehistoric monuments, birding cliffs and wildlife while exploring the Outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland Islands and more.  

• Iceland’s Fire & Ice Circumnavigation, 11 days | June 2-12, 2027, Reykjavík, return
  This is a circumnavigation of Iceland and its glaciers, fjords, wilderness, wildlife, folklore and geothermal activity under the midnight sun.

• Svalbard, Greenland & Iceland Arctic Islands Expedition, 15 days | July 21 – August 4, 2027, Paris to Reykjavík
  Durting this sailing, which includes a pre-voyage night in Paris, guests cross the Arctic Circle and explore the ice that is home to polar bears, walrus and narwhals, nesting birds, as well as tundra with musk oxen, arctic foxes and wolves, and fjords and glaciers. 

• Antarctic Peninsula Expedition Cruise 11/12 days | Nov. 22 – Dec. 3; Dec. 2-13; Dec. 12-22, 2027, and Jan. 10-20, 2028, Ushuaia, return
  The wilderness of Antarctica and the South Shetland Islands is explored on this voyage, where guests sail through the Antarctic Convergence and visit some of the most isolated landscapes on Earth. 
• South Georgia, Falklands & Antarctic Peninsula Cruise, 22 days | Nov. 2-23, 2027, and Dec. 21, 2027 – Jan 11, 2028, Ushuaia, return
  This voyage is timed to coincide with the arrival of breeding season and long daylight hours, allowing guests to explore Falkland Islands and South Georgia Island and their wildlife.
