Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement to warn guests of two of its ships about roadway work at the Port of Galveston.

According to the company’s letter, passengers set to board the Carnival Jubilee on May 16, 2026, and the Carnival Breeze on May 18, 2026, may be affected.

“You will be embarking at Cruise Terminal 25 (CT25), and construction is underway along sections of Harborside Drive (the main road by the cruise terminal),” Carnival said.

“Consequently, there will be lane closures. Please check traffic conditions in the area on embarkation day, as you may need to adjust your route accordingly,” the company continued.

“Traffic signs and personnel will be in position to direct you through the zone,” Carnival added, noting that more information will be available on the port’s website.

The company also said that passengers parking a vehicle at the port will need to proceed directly to the parking location with luggage and travelling companions.

“After you have parked, a complimentary shuttle will be available to take you to the cruise terminal,” Carnival added.

The service will not be available for guests who will be parking at Express Lot and SMP Garage, Carnival explained.

Carnival said that vehicular access to CT25 from nearby CT28 will be closed, noting that guests being dropped off must also direct their drivers to the correct route, avoiding delays.

“As you make your travel plans, kindly adhere to your pre-selected Terminal Arrival Appointment for a smooth embarkation experience, and remember, you must be onboard by the final boarding time,” the company added.

As part of its regular schedule of weeklong cruises to the Western Caribbean, the Carnival Jubilee is scheduled to offer an itinerary to Mexico and Honduras on May 16, 2026.

The seven-night voyage features visits to Cozumel and Costa Maya, in addition to Carnival Corporation’s Mahogany Bay cruise port in Roatán.

Also sailing to the Western Caribbean, the Carnival Breeze offers a five-night cruise to Progreso and Cozumel in Mexico.
