Two Carnival Cruise Line ships are undergoing drydocks at the same time in the Grand Bahama Shipyard: the Carnival Legend and the Carnival Magic.

The vessels recently arrived at the facility in Freeport as part of Carnival Cruise Line’s routine maintenance schedule. More details are expected to be released as the ships finish their drydocks.

After pausing its regular operations in PortMiami, the Carnival Magic was the first ship to arrive in Freeport, entering drydock on April 19, 2026.

The 2011-built ship is now scheduled to welcome guests back onboard on May 26, 2026, kicking off a short cruise to the Bahamas.

The four-night itinerary features a visit to Nassau, in addition to a stop at Carnival Corporation’s private destination of Half Moon Cay.

In late May, the Carnival Magic resumes its schedule of six- and eight-night cruises to the Southern and Eastern Caribbean.

Sailing from Miami on a year-round basis, the itineraries are highlighted by visits to destinations like Aruba, Bonaire, CuraƧao and Grand Turk.

The Carnival Legend arrived at the Grand Bahama Shipyard on May 2, 2026, following a winter season sailing from Galveston.

The Spirit-class ship is now set to resume service on May 20, 2026, offering a short cruise ahead of its summer deployment in Europe.

Sailing roundtrip from PortMiami, the four-night itinerary features visits to Nassau and Half Moon Cay, as well as a day at sea.

The Carnival Legend is then set to offer a 14-night trans-Atlantic crossing to the British port of Dover, which will be followed by a series of cruises to the British Isles and Northern Europe.

In late August, the 2002-built ship repositions to the Mediterranean for itineraries that sail to the Greek Isles, Italy, Turkey and more.
