Holland America Line today announced the itineraries for its two 2028 Grand Voyages, according to a press release.

The new cruises were “shaped by years of guest feedback and a shared appetite for discovery,” the company said.

Passengers can choose between a 129-day circumnavigation of the globe onboard the 2028 Grand World Voyage or a 90-day voyage to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

The news was initially shared by Holland America Line’s President Beth Bodensteiner with guests onboard the 2026 Grand World Voyage.

According to the company, both 2028 voyages offer bucket-list experiences including scenic cruising in Antarctica, the Chilean Fjords and the Beagle Channel, as well as access to the shores of Western Australia and Bora Bora.

“What makes our Grand Voyage itineraries special is the opportunity to experience destinations more fully while visiting rare Mariners’ Collection ports exclusive to these cruises,” said Bodensteiner.

“In direct response to our guests, the 2028 Grand Voyages are anchored by truly unforgettable moments, from exploring Antarctica and crossing the globe on the Grand World Voyage to sailing past Null Island, where the Prime Meridian and the Equator meet at zero, and calling at legendary destinations like Easter Island and Bora Bora.”

Holland America said that the 2028 Grand Voyages sail onboard the Volendam and the Zaandam, saying that the ships are “renowned for their ability to reach ports that larger vessels cannot.”

The 2028 Grand World Voyage sails roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale onboard the Volendam starting on January 4.

The 129-day voyage includes visits to 45 ports in 26 countries and territories across six continents, allowing guests to visit 31 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Sailing onboard the Zaandam, the 2028 Grand Australia & New Zealand Voyage departs Jan. 30 roundtrip from San Diego.

The 90-day cruise is highlighted by a transit of the Date Line, as well as visits to 41 ports in 12 countries and territories across two continents.

Passengers will also be able to visit 13 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Great Barrier Reef and New Zealand’s Tongariro National Park.

Holland America said that travelers interested in either voyage can call Holland America Line’s World Cruise Reservations Desk or contact their travel advisor today to place a deposited Future Cruise Request and receive priority booking confirmation before either voyage opens to the general public.
