Merima has opened a new office and logistics center at the Blue Industry Park, a new maritime industry business park near the Turku shipyard.
In a press release, the company described the industry park as Europe’s leading maritime and manufacturing industry cluster, bringing together pioneers from their respective fields.
“Turku is an important hub for us, from which we serve customers around the world. Our new 4,000-square-metre facilities will improve our efficiency and further strengthen long-term collaboration with local and international operators in the Turku region,” said Merima CEO Mikko Mäkiranta.
With nearly 40 years of experience in full-scope maritime projects, the company delivers newbuild and refurbishment projects for cruise vessels globally.
The company said that since it focuses on demanding and complex assignments, smooth logistics are essential for its operation.
Mäkiranta added that this move strengthens the company’s ability to serve its customers at an even higher level and creates the conditions for sustainable growth.
