The Genting Dream embarked on its first voyage on April 20, 2026, marking the start of Dream Cruises’ sailing season from Port Klang.
A Raya Open House event was hosted onboard the ship to mark the inaugural sailing, the company said in a press release.
“This year, we are bringing together the very best of Asia — from its destinations and cuisine to its entertainment and culture — into one unforgettable holiday experience for our guests,” said Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises.
“As Dream Cruises celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are proud to strengthen our presence in Malaysia and support Malaysia’s momentum towards Visit Malaysia 2026. By homeporting in Port Klang, we are making cruising more accessible for Malaysians while positioning Malaysia as a key gateway for cruise travel across Asia.”
The ship will sail two-, three-, four- and five-night itineraries to destinations including Pulau Redang, Koh Samui and Bangkok (via Laem Chabang), Penang, Phuket and Bali.
A year-long “Decade of Dreams” celebration aboard the Genting Dream is planned throughout 2026 to mark the anniversary.
