The Marella Discovery II arrived at the DP World Limassol’s cruise terminal for the first time this year, marking the start of Cyprus’ 2026 cruise season.
This is where the ship will homeport for the season, with 26 calls scheduled between April and November, according to a statement.
The ship is sailing an eight-day itinerary with stops at Kusadasi, Mykonos, Piraeus, Souda (Crete) and Rhodes before returning to the Port of Limassol.
Simon Pitout, CEO, DP World Limassol, said: “The cruise sector remains a vital pillar of Cyprus’ tourism offering and we are delighted to once again welcome Marella Discovery II to DP World Limassol as its homeport for 2026.
“Limassol is firmly establishing itself as a strategic hub in the Eastern Mediterranean and we will continue to enhance our capabilities to drive innovation and support our customers’ expectations and ambitions. It’s business as usual at Limassol Port.”
According to the press release, the cruise ship’s arrival marks the second consecutive year of full Fly & Cruise packages into Cyprus, with guests arriving at Larnaca and Paphos airports before transferring to Limassol’s cruise terminal.
Originally known as the Legend of the Seas, the Marella Discovery II completed 30 years of service last year.
