Costa Cruises welcomed travel agents, partners and media onboard the Costa Diadema over the weekend for an event that marked the end of the 2025-26 cruise season in Brazil.
The gathering also included an award ceremony that recognized over 20 travel agencies for their sales.
“The Costa Brazil Awards is, above all, a recognition of the talent and dedication of the companies and professionals that make Costa the benchmark it is today in Brazil,” said the company’s Executive President for the Americas, Dario Rustico.
“Celebrating these achievements alongside those who make our operations possible is the best way to reaffirm our gratitude and commitment to the trade,” he added.
Over 600 guests were part of the event, which took place while the Costa Diadema sailed from Santos to Rio de Janeiro.
“We concluded the 2025-26 season with extraordinary results. The Costa Brazil Awards not only recognize our sales force but also reinforce our mission to connect an increasing number of Brazilians to the world’s best maritime destinations,” added Ruy Ribeiro, Costa’s commercial director in Brazil.
In addition to hosting the event, the Costa Diadema started a repositioning voyage ahead of its upcoming deployment in Northern Europe.
Sailing from Santos to Kiel, the 26-night cruise includes visits to destinations in Brazil, Cape Verde, the Canary Islands, Spain, Portugal, France, England, Belgium and Germany.
Costa’s season in South America started in early November with the arrival of the Costa Diadema, which initially served as a floating hotel for a UN event in Belém.
The 3,700-passenger vessel was later joined by the Costa Favolosa for a series of cruises departing from the ports of Santos, Itajaí, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
The company is now set to return to South America in November, with the Costa Diadema opening a new winter season.
Sailing along with the Costa Serena, the ship will offer three- to nine-night cruises to a range of destinations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
