The new Celebrity Xcel is soon completing its inaugural season in North America, the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Delivered to Celebrity Cruises in late 2025, the vessel entered service in November, kicking off a series of weeklong cruises from Fort Lauderdale.
Earlier this month, the ship embarked on its final sailing to the Western Caribbean, offering a seven-night itinerary to Cozumel, George Town and Bimini.
The Edge-class vessel is now set to offer a last itinerary to the Eastern Caribbean before kicking off a repositioning voyage to Europe.
Sailing from Fort Lauderdale on April 19, 2026, the seven-night cruise will feature visits to Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and Philipsburg.
In late April, the Xcel sails from Fort Lauderdale for a trans-Atlantic crossing to the Spanish port of Barcelona.
The 15-night cruise features visits to destinations in Bermuda and Portugal, as well as additional ports in Spain, including King’s Wharf, Ponta Delgada and Palma de Mallorca.
The vessel is then set to offer itineraries in the Mediterranean before returning to Florida later this year.
As part of its first summer season in Europe, the 2,900-passenger ship will offer a series of seven- to 11-night cruises departing from Barcelona, Spain, and Athens, Greece.
The itineraries include visits to a range of destinations in the region, including Santorini in Greece, Valletta in Malta, Kusadasi in Turkey and La Spezia in Italy.
In early November, the 140,600-ton vessel arrives in Miami for its second winter season sailing to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
As the fifth ship in Celebrity’s Edge class, the Xcel was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France. Currently under construction, a sixth vessel, the Celebrity Xcite, is set to join the class in 2028.
