Royal Caribbean has unveiled a new lineup of sailings on the Spectrum of the Seas for the 2027-28 season, which includes eight- to 10-night journeys from Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
The company said in a press release that for the first time, guests can sail one way between cities, starting or ending their journey in Tokyo.
Spanning 22 destinations across Asia, the experiences range from three- to 11-night getaways, including short weekend escapes and festive holiday sailings to longer journeys.
Bookings for the 2027-28 season are now available on the company’s website.
“This new lineup reflects our continued commitment to the China market and our ambition to deliver more diverse and immersive vacations,” said Benjamin Bouldin, president of Royal Caribbean, Greater China.

Spring Blossom Journey
In May 2027, the ship will sail across China, Japan and South Korea to witness the region’s spring bloom season. The Spectrum will feature overnight stays in Beijing (Tianjin).
Autumn Foliage Escape
In October 2027, sailings will include vibrant fall landscapes with visits to Seoul (Incheon), South Korea and Sapporo (Muroran).
Travelers can also embark on eight-night adventures featuring overnight stays in Osaka and Tokyo.

According to the press release, the lineup from Hong Kong also features seasonal cruises, including:
Three holiday getaways during Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s for onboard celebrations and seasonal scenery.
The Spectrum’s Thanksgiving 11-night cruise includes destinations like Busan, Jeju (Seogwipo), Nagasaki, Japan and Kagoshima, Japan.
The nine-night Christmas sailing features Fukuoka, Busan and Nagasaki.
In the New Year, guests can visit Okinawa (Naha), Japan, on a five-night overnight adventure. The adventures also feature whale watching and the chance to spot early cherry blossoms.
Beyond holiday sailings, the Hong Kong season expands access to destinations such as Hue and Da Nang (Chan May) in Vietnam.
