The MSC Meraviglia sailed from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on Sunday for MSC Cruises’ final voyage, for now, from New York City.
Sailing year-round from the port since April 2023, the vessel is offering a farewell cruise to the Bahamas and Florida.
The seven-night itinerary includes visits to Nassau and Port Canaveral, as well as MSC’s private island destination of Ocean Cay.
After returning to New York City on April 19, 2026, the ship is set to start a repositioning voyage to Europe, effectively marking the end of the company’s operations at the port.
Set to operate summer cruises in the Western Mediterranean, the MSC Meraviglia will offer a trans-Atlantic cruise to Barcelona, Spain.
The 19-night cruise sails to destinations in Canada, the Atlantic and Europe, including Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Cadiz in Spain and Marseille in France.
Starting in early May, the 2017-built ship offers a series of seven-night cruises to Spain, France, taly and Tunisia.
MSC had been sailing from New York City since April 2023, when the MSC Meraviglia repositioned to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
In addition to weeklong cruises to the Bahamas and Florida, the 4,500-passenger ship offered itineraries to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada and New England.
The company initially planned to return to New York during the 2026-27 winter, with the MSC Meraviglia offering seasonal itineraries to the Bahamas and Florida.
The season was later cancelled in favor of a series of six- to eight-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from PortMiami.
Sailing from South Florida, the ship is scheduled to make visits to a range of destinations, including Grand Turk, St. Maarten, St. Kitts and more.
After a summer season serving the U.K. market, the MSC Meraviglia is scheduled to debut in the Southern Caribbean in 2027-28, offering itineraries from the French Antilles.
