Cunard served as headline partner of the 50th anniversary Olivier Awards, hosting a ceremony at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the company said in a press release.

The event took place April 12, 2026.

“Cunard’s connection to theatre, arts and culture has been part of our rich history for 185 years,” said Katie McAlister, president of Cunard.

“It’s a privilege to be the headline partner of the Olivier Awards in its 50th year as these awards truly celebrate the very best of British theatre and its global impact, from the talent on stage to the creativity behind the scenes.”

Cunard has partnered with the Society of London Theatre for seven years, bringing West End performances to sea with world-class theater and cultural events.

In 2025, the Olivier Award-winning musical Come From Away was staged at sea for the first time aboard the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria.

Pride and Prejudice (*Sort Of) was performed aboard the Queen Anne.

Cunard’s London Theatre at Sea in partnership with the Olivier Awards Event Voyage returns in May 2026 aboard the Queen Mary 2 for its third year, featuring behind-the-scenes talks, workshops and performances.

The voyage departs from Southampton to New York from May 22-29, 2026, and includes The Oliviers in Concert with the Royal Court Theatre orchestra, interactive workshops and a gala evening.
