BASS Software has achieved ISO certification for establishing, implementing and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS).
Following an audit by Tüv Nord Cert GmbH, the company is now holder of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate, according to a statement.
BASS said that this validates its rigorous approach to risk management and the protection of sensitive data across its BASSnet SaaS and BASSnet Neo cloud-native platforms.
“Information security is the backbone of resilient SaaS solutions for the maritime industry,” said Per Steinar Upsaker, CEO and managing director at BASS Software.
“Achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification reinforces our commitment to cybersecurity and operational excellence. This milestone strengthens BASS’s position as a trusted cloud technology partner for maritime organizations worldwide.”
The certification confirms that BASS has implemented clearly defined controls for data privacy, access management and security oversight.
Furthermore, BASSnet SaaS is further secured by layered controls, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), security information and event management (SIEM) and web application firewalls (WAF).
BASS noted that these measures ensure continuous protection and operational resilience as the global threat landscape evolves.
“Our customers can be confident that their data is protected within a certified and continuously monitored cloud environment,” added Wong Nyuk Lan, vice president of service & support at BASS Software.
“This reflects our proactive approach to managing information security risks as a trusted SaaS partner.”
