HX Expeditions announced that its October 2025 to March 2026 Antarctica season has been the company’s most successful on record, according to a press release.
“This has been an extraordinary season, not only in terms of guest numbers and satisfaction, but in the depth of scientific engagement and responsible travel practices,” said Gebhard Rainer, chief executive officer of HX Expeditions.
“As the largest operator, we recognize the responsibility that comes with our scale. Our focus is, and always will be, ensuring that Antarctica remains protected for future generations.”
The company completed 34 sailings to Antarctica, and the season marked a 5 percent global increase in bookings from 2025, with up to an 80 percent increase in select regions.
It expanded its activity capacity, enabling more guests to kayak and camp, with an 188 percent increase in kayaking capacity and doubling its camping spots.
HX donated 1,801 guest scientist cruise nights to global research during the season.
Guests also helped raise 124,882 euros for the HX Foundation, supporting conservation, plastic pollution initiatives and community projects.
The company introduced enhancements for the 2025-2026 season, including later departures from Buenos Aires, upgraded charter flights with JetSMART’s A321 aircraft and later return flights to Ushuaia.
