The Brilliant Lady has recently arrived in Los Angeles, marking the debut of Virgin Voyages in California and the West Coast.

Sailing the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal, the 2,770-passenger ship is now scheduled to offer a series of spring cruises to the Mexican Riviera and Baja.

For its first sailing in the region, the vessel is offering a five-night itinerary that sails to Santa Barbara, San Diego and Ensenada.

Virgin’s first season in the region runs through early May and also includes six- and seven-night cruises to Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

In a social media update, the Port of Los Angeles celebrated the maiden call, noting that the arrival of the Brilliant Lady marks “Virgin’s fresh start on the West Coast.”

As the newest ship in the company’s fleet, the vessel was delivered in early 2024 and entered service in late 2025.

Following the LA-based season, the 110,000-ton ship will head North to mark Virgin’s debut in Alaska and Canada.

Between mid-May and early September, the Brilliant Lady offers a series of seven- to 12-night cruises to destinations including Tracy Arm Fjord, Sitka, Ketchikan and Prince Rupert.

The ship later returns to Los Angeles for a fall season sailing to the West Coast ahead of repositioning to the Caribbean for the winter.

Running between late September and late October, the ship vessel offers new five- to seven-night itineraries to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta, as well as Ensenada, Catalina Island and San Diego.

Cruise Industry News, the Brilliant Lady also became the first Virgin ship to transit the Panama Canal earlier this year.

As the fourth ship in Virgin’s Lady ship series, the vessel was built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and welcomed guests for its first season last September.
