Emerald Cruises announced the launch of the Emerald Kaia after a successful transit through the Red Sea and Suez Canal, the company said in a press release.
The 128-guest vessel has now departed from Limassol, Cyprus, on its inaugural voyage.
The launch follows successful river trials of the Emerald Astra, which is set to join the fleet on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers in May 2026.
“The launch of the Emerald Kaia and the upcoming inaugural sailing of the Emerald Astra in May mark important milestones for Scenic Group as we celebrate 40 years of innovation in travel,” said Glen Moroney, chairman and founder of Scenic Group.
The Emerald Kaia features La Cucina restaurant with an open-plan kitchen, SoleĆ” Bar & Bistro beside the Vitality Pool serving Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and Night Market Grill private dining for up to eight guests.
The Wellness Deck features salt therapy lounges, a cold plunge pool and a spa offering treatments and therapies.
Spacious suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows.
New interconnecting suites have been introduced for families and groups.
For summer 2026 and 2027, the Emerald Kaia will cruise the Adriatic Sea with eight and 15-day itineraries between Venice and Dubrovnik.
The ship then repositions to the Indian Ocean, sailing in the Seychelles archipelago from December 2026 to March 2027, offering cruise itineraries from eight to 20 days.
The Emerald Kaia will be joined by sister yachts the Emerald Raiya in 2027 and the Emerald Xara in 2028.
