The Celebrity Infinity recently completed its 25th year of service for Celebrity Cruises.

Built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, the vessel was delivered on February 25, 2001.

As the second ship in the company’s Millennium-class series, the Infinity initially offered a trans-Atlantic crossing to Fort Lauderdale before embarking on its maiden voyage on March 3, 2001, which was a Panama Canal transit.

The 14-night cruise to the Panama Canal included visits to destinations in the Caribbean and Central America before ending in San Diego.

As part of its inaugural season, the 2,170-passenger ship offered ten- and 11-night itineraries to the West Coast and Hawaii before arriving in Alaska for the summer.

During its 25-year sailing career, the Infinity offered itineraries to a wide range of destinations, including South America, the Caribbean and Northern Europe.

In early 2023, the ship kicked off Celebrity’s first year-round operation in Europe, moving to the Mediterranean on a full-time basis.

Earlier this year, the vessel entered drydock at the Chantier Naval de Marseille for routine maintenance and statutory work.

The ship later had a technical issue ahead of its first cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean, which was scheduled to depart from Piraeus on February 16, 2026.

With the sailing cancelled a day before departure, the Infinity spent 11 days docked at the Greek port while undergoing repairs.

As part of its year-round schedule in Europe, the ship continues to offer a series of cruises to the Greek Islands and the Aegean through late fall.

Ports of call set to be visited by the vessel include Thessaloniki and Nafplio in Greece, Limassol in Cyprus, and Dubrovnik in Croatia.

The vessel is then scheduled to reposition to Barcelona for itineraries to the Canary Islands and the Western Mediterranean for the winter.

In March 2027, the Infinity returns to the Eastern Mediterranean for additional itineraries out of Piraeus.
