The Harmony of the Seas recently entered drydock for a major refurbishment as part of Royal Caribbean International’s Royal Amplified program.

After arriving in Europe in late March, the Oasis-class vessel reached the Navantia shipyard in Cadiz on April 3, 2026.

The 227,625-ton ship is now set to undergo a six-week drydock before welcoming guests back on May 21, 2026.

During the refit, the Harmony of the Seas will see the addition of new features and enhancements, including a new Caribbean-inspired pool deck and The Lime & Coconut, Royal Caribbean’s tropical-inspired bar.

Other changes include the addition of new bars and dining venues, such as Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, El Loco Fresh and Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse.

Cruise Industry News estimates that the 5,558-passenger vessel is also getting nearly 100 additional staterooms during the refit.

The new cabins will take over the area of public spaces and dining venues, including the ship’s conference center and Wonderland.

After offering spring cruises in the Mediterranean, the Harmony of the Seas is scheduled to reposition to Port Canaveral for the summer.

Starting in August, the vessel will offer two- to seven-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas departing from its homeport in Central Florida.

The itineraries are highlighted by visits to a range of destinations, including Royal Caribbean’s private island destination of Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The Harmony is the second Royal Caribbean ship to enter drydock for a major refit in 2026, following the Ovation of the Seas.

After completing a winter season in Southeast Asia, the 2016-built ship arrived at a shipyard in Singapore for a month-long refurbishment.

The drydock, which is also part of the Royal Amplified program, will see the vessel getting new features, in addition to extra staterooms and updated interiors.

A third vessel is also scheduled to undergo a similar refurbishment project this year: the Liberty of the Seas.
