The Azamara Onward is scheduled to enter a two-week drydock in early November 2027.

The refurbishment forms part of Azamara Forward, said to be the brand’s most extensive fleetwide renovation program to date.

The ship is getting onboard upgrades designed to elevate the guest experience, Azamara said in a statement.

This includes a transformation of onboard nightlife venues, a newly dedicated Chef’s Table experience, a reimagined Discoveries Restaurant, debut of a recrafted Atlas Bar, a full transformation of The Cabaret Lounge, refreshed staterooms and suites and upgraded public spaces across the ship.

The upgraded Onward will set sail on its first voyage, a seven-night Italy Intensive cruise from Athens to Rome, on November 25, 2027.

This sailing will be available for booking starting April 7, 2026.

Following its return to service, the ship will continue sailing in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic later in the season to begin Caribbean itineraries.

This drydock follows the debut of Azamara Forward aboard the Quest.

As the new penthouse deck will be exclusive to the Quest, it will not be included as part of this renovation, the cruise line explained.

The timelines for the Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit’s upgrades are set to be announced at a later date.
