Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Norwegian Luna, made its inaugural visit to PortMiami on March 23, 2026.
Delivered by the Fincantieri shipyard earlier this month, the Prima-class vessel arrived in Florida to conclude its first trans-Atlantic crossing.
The 13-night cruise started in Italy and also included visits to destinations in Spain and the United Kingdom before arriving in North America.
Upon arriving in Miami, the vessel kicked off its first sailing in North America, a four-night cruise to the Bahamas.
Starting in early April, the Norwegian Luna is scheduled to offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from Miami.
While the ship’s inaugural sailing is set to visit the Western Caribbean, its regular schedule will sail to the Eastern Caribbean.
Through late October, the 3,571-guest vessel offers weeklong voyages to the Dominican Republic, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
The regular itinerary is highlighted by stops in Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and Tortola, as well as Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island destination in the Bahamas.
In an update shared on its social media profiles, PortMiami celebrated the arrival, adding that its team is excited to welcome the vessel for its inaugural season.
The Norwegian Luna will join five other ships that are currently sailing from the homeport, including its sister ship, the Norwegian Aqua.
The 2025-built vessel will continue to sail from South Florida through mid-April, when it is set to reposition to New York City for a summer season.
Rejoining its sister ship for the 2026-27 winter season, the Aqua is scheduled to return to Miami in mid-October.
While the Luna switches to regular itineraries to the Western Caribbean, the Aqua will offer cruises to the Eastern Caribbean.
Other Norwegian ships sailing from PortMiami through early April include the Encore, the Jewel, the Pearl and the Getaway.
