Riviera Travel has kicked off its 2026 river cruise season in which just under 200 departures are planned, the cruise line said in a statement.
A new Radiance-class vessel, increased solo departures and enhancements designed to make the experience more accessible to North American travelers are set to mark the season.
“After doubling our passenger numbers from 2024 to 2025 and seeing growth of over 200 percent in just the first three months of 2026, we’re optimistic about the year ahead,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel.
“With more than 97 percent of our business coming through travel advisors, we’ve incorporated their feedback, and those of our North American guests, into onboard enhancements we know will resonate.”
Later this year, this cruise line will welcome the third ship in its fleet of Radiance-class vessels, the Riviera Resplendence.
As a sister ship to the Riviera Radiance and the Riviera Reflection, the vessel will sail the Rhine, Moselle and Danube rivers.
In line with the brand starting to offer more options for solo travelers, the George Elliot will debut for the cruise line in 2027 as what it says is the world’s first solo-dedicated river cruise vessel.
Additionally, the brand added North American breakfast and drink items to its menus, as well as both 12- and 24-hour time formats onboard, paired with temperature formats in Fahrenheit and Celsius degrees, to accommodate North American guests.
