Seabourn will celebrate its “Ruby Jubilee” in 2028, marking 40 years of sailing, the company said in a press release.

The cruise line’s 2028 season will therefore feature events commemorating four decades since its story started in 1988 with The Yachts of Seabourn.

Alongside sailings featuring onboard programming inspired by the anniversary, a series of 40 Ruby Collection ocean voyages is planned to commemorate the occasion.

First up is a 120-day World Cruise on the Seabourn Quest departing January 7, 2028, sailing five continents and including immersive exploration of destinations such as Antarctica, Easter Island, the Falkland Islands and beyond.

In a nod to Seabourn’s very first sailing, the voyage will feature a Panama Canal transit.

Next, an expanded Seabourn Conversations program, including what the company describes as a first–of–its–kind collaboration with The Atlantic, will deliver discussions and exclusive guest access throughout the year.

A 12-day Canada and New England cruise on the Seabourn Quest departing October 4, 2028, is envisaged as the centerpiece of the anniversary year.

The remaining voyages will be what Seabourn describes as yacht–harbor–focused Caribbean and Mediterranean sailings, paired with new voyages in Japan and Southeast Asia designed around seasonal cultural moments.
