Aurora Expeditions has launched a new Arctic photography expedition for 2027 following demand for its sold-out Antarctica photography voyage, the company said in a press release.
The Iceland & East Greenland: Through the Lens expedition departs July 31, 2027, aboard the Sylvia Earle for 11 days with fares from $14,956 per person in Australian dollars.
The voyage will be led by four photography experts: Scott Portelli, Peter Eastway, David Vargas and Wayne Sorensen.
Portelli is an award-winning wildlife, nature and underwater photographer whose work has been featured by National Geographic, BBC and Australian Geographic.
Eastway is a landscape and travel photographer and founder of Australia’s Better Photography Magazine.
Vargas is an award-winning photographer and art director with over 20 years of experience across more than 40 countries whose work has been recognized by National Geographic.
Sorensen is a landscape and wildlife photographer whose work has received accolades from Australian Geographic and the Natural History Museum of London.
The photographers will host onboard workshops, image reviews and in-field guidance during the voyage.
The expedition explores East Greenland’s Scoresbysund, the world’s largest fjord system, and Iceland’s Westfjords.
Guests will have opportunities to photograph wildlife including whales, seabirds and musk oxen during Zodiac cruises and onshore excursions.
The voyage prioritizes extended time off-ship and access to rarely visited locations.
