Celestyal Cruises has cancelled an additional cruise in the Aegean Sea due to the ongoing situation in the Arabian Gulf.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the sailing that was set to take place onboard the Celestyal Discovery on April 3, 2026, will no longer go ahead.

Celestyal said that the cancellation was necessary due to a delay in the ship’s repositioning voyage back to the Eastern Mediterranean.

The company added that it is currently finalizing arrangements for the trip, which will be followed by a summer deployment in Greece and Turkey.

Sailing roundtrip from Lavrion, the Discovery was scheduled to offer a three-night cruise on April 3, 2026.

As part of the port-intensive itinerary, the ship was set to visit Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Heraklion and Santorini before returning to its homeport near Athens.

Celestyal noted that all guests who were onboard its ships in the Middle East have now safely disembarked.

The Celestyal Discovery is currently docked in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, while the Celestyal Journey is at the port of Doha, Qatar.

“Both vessels remain fully operational, and their departure from the region will take place in accordance with guidance from the relevant authorities,” the company explained.

“We continue to monitor developments closely and remain focused on resuming our planned program as soon as possible,” Celestyal added.

Passengers with bookings for the cancelled sailing will be offered the choice of a full refund or a future cruise credit to use against a future sailing.

Celestyal said that affected guests are kindly asked to contact their original travel provider to discuss the available options and next steps.

Five cruises onboard the Celestyal Discovery in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean have now been cancelled due to the conflicts in the Middle East.

Following its winter season in the region, the 1,360-passenger ship was scheduled to kick off its European deployment on March 20, 2026.
