The MSC Sinfonia is currently returning to Europe with no guests onboard after completing a winter season in South America.
Having spent the past four months serving the Brazilian market, the MSC Cruises vessel started its repositioning voyage in Santos on March 17, 2026.
The 2002-built vessel is now expected to make a technical call at the Spanish port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on March 28, 2026.
The ship is then set to sail straight to its homeport in Bari ahead of kicking off its European summer season on April 4, 2026.
Sailing to Greece and Italy, the Sinfonia is scheduled to offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean through late October.
In addition to Bari, the vessel’s regular itinerary includes visits to Corfu, Argostoli, Katakolon, Piraeus and Santorini.
The 1,900-passenger ship is then set to reposition to the Western Mediterranean in early November, spending the upcoming winter season sailing to Spain, Italy and France.
Following the MSC Armonia, the Sinfonia became the second MSC ship to conclude its 2025-26 winter season in South America.
Sailing in the region along with four other of the company’s ships, the vessel had been offering short cruises departing from Santos since late November.
The three- and four-night sailings featured visits to destinations in the state of Rio de Janeiro, including Ilha Grande and Búzios.
Between December and February, the ship also offered seven-night cruises that interported in Rio de Janeiro and Itajaí.
MSC’s 2025-26 winter season in South America runs through early April, with the MSC Seaview and the MSC Preziosa offering itineraries to Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
The company is then set to return to the region in mid-November for a four-ship deployment highlighted by the debut of the MSC Virtuosa.
Three additional ships, the MSC Divina, the MSC Musica and the MSC Splendida, are also scheduled to spend the 2026-27 season in South America.
