Celestyal Cruises is cancelling additional itineraries of the Celestyal Discovery in the Eastern Mediterranean due to the conflicts in the Middle East.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the vessel’s March 27 and March 30, 2026, departures will no longer go ahead.
The company said that the sailings have been cancelled as it “finalizes arrangements for the ship’s repositioning to the Mediterranean ahead of the summer season.”
Sailing from the company’s homeport in Piraeus, the three- and four-night itineraries were scheduled to visit destinations in Greece and Turkey, such as Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes and Kusadasi.
Earlier this month, Celestyal had cancelled the cruises that were set to take place onboard the vessel on March 20 and March 23, 2026.
“As the conflict in the Middle East continues, and in close coordination with the relevant authorities, we have had to delay the repositioning of the Celestyal Discovery,” the company explained.
According to Celestyal, impacted guests will be offered either a full refund or a future cruise credit for rebooking on a different sailing.
“We continue to monitor developments closely and remain focused on resuming our planned program as soon as possible,” the company added.
In its statement, Celestyal also highlighted the fact that all guests from both the Celestyal Discovery and the Celestyal Journey have safely disembarked the ships in Dubai, UAE, and Doha, Qatar, respectively.
“Both vessels are fully operational, and their departure from the region will take place in line with guidance from the relevant authorities,” the company continued.
Celestyal suspended its operations in the Arabian Gulf in late February before cancelling the remainder of its season in the region in early March.
Both the Celestyal Journey and the Celestyal Discovery were offering itineraries in the Middle East as part of the company’s 2025-26 winter season.
