Princess Cruises will offer cruises departing from the port of Bridgetown in Barbados starting in early 2027.
According to its website, the company will offer ten departures from its newest homeport between January 2027 and March 2028.
The first ship to sail from Barbados will be the Crown Princess, which is scheduled to offer a series of seven-night cruises from the island between January and March 2027.
Interporting in San Juan, the vessel will offer itineraries to the Southern Caribbean that feature visits to destinations like Martinique, St. Maarten and Grenada.
Additional sailings will be available during the 2027-28 winter season, with the Emerald Princess taking over the itineraries.
As part of its homeporting season in Puerto Rico, the vessel will offer a series of cruises that also depart from Barbados.
The deployment features six- to nine-night itineraries to the Southern Caribbean sailings between November 2027 and March 2028.
Ports of call set to be visited during the deployment include Roseau in Dominica, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Basseterre in St. Kitts and St. John’s in Antigua.
According to the company, the addition of Barbados as a homeport provides greater choice and convenience for guests flying from the United Kingdom.
Before expanding its operations to Bridgetown, Princess returned to Puerto Rico during the 2025-2026 winter season.
Marking the company’s comeback to the homeport after more than a decade, the Grand Princess arrived in San Juan in October 2025.
The 1996-built ship is set to continue sailing from the port through March 2026 before being replaced by the Crown Princess for 2026-27.
Featuring 187 departures onboard nine ships, Princess’ upcoming winter season in the Caribbean is also highlighted by the debut of the Star Princess in Port Canaveral.
The company will also add visits to Celebration Key, Carnival Cruise Line’s new private destination in Grand Bahama.
