Aroya Cruises has ended its current season in the Arabian Gulf, the company announced in a statement.
According to the company, the Aroya will not operate the remaining sailings scheduled to take place in the region.
After arriving in the Arabian Gulf in late February, the vessel was scheduled to offer weeklong cruises to destinations in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia through early May.
Aroya noted that the decision was related to “ongoing regional operational considerations” and was made in coordination with the relevant maritime and national authorities.
The company added that all of its guests were disembarked in Dubai on March 7, 2026, emphasizing that the process was guided by the safety, security and well-being of passengers and crew.
“We are supporting our guests as they arrange their onward travel and providing guidance and assistance throughout this process,” Aroya added.
“The safety, security, and comfort of our guests and crew remain our highest priority and continue to guide every operational decision we make.”
Kicking off the company’s first season in the region, the Aroya arrived at the port of Dubai on February 21, 2026.
One of the highlights of Aroya’s 2026 deployment, the season included cruises departing from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dammam.
With its Arabian Gulf season canceled, the Aroya is now set to offer itineraries in the Red Sea starting in mid-May.
Sailing from its homeport in Jeddah, the 150,000-ton vessel is scheduled to operate three- to five-night itineraries to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan before repositioning to the Eastern Mediterranean in June.
In related news, Celestyal, TUI and MSC also canceled sailings in the Middle East due to the conflict in the region.
While Celestyal and MSC also canceled all of their sailings scheduled for the region this season, TUI suspended all operations through mid-March.
