Celestyal Cruises cancelled all the sailings that were still set to be operated in the Arabian Gulf in 2025-26, the company said in a statement.
Both of the brand’s vessels are currently in the region and are expected to return to Greece soon, Celestyal added.
“We continue to follow developments in the Middle East and remain in regular contact with the relevant authorities. Throughout this period, our focus has been and continues to be the safety and well-being of our guests and crew,” the company declared.
Given the current geopolitical situation in the region, four additional departures onboard the Celestyal Journey were cancelled, including the cruises set to depart from Doha on March 7 and March 14.
The sailings that were scheduled to start in Dubai on March 9 and March 16 are also being cancelled, the company added.
All guests who were due to travel on the affected cruises will be offered the option of a full refund or a future cruise credit.
“With the cancellation of the remaining scheduled sailings, our Arabian Gulf season will now conclude,” Celestyal continued.
The company noted that, subject to operational conditions, the Celestyal Journey and the Celestyal Discovery will reposition to Athens to begin their scheduled summer seasons in the Mediterranean.
The vessels are set to offer a series of three- to seven-night cruises to destinations in Greece, Turkey, Croatia and more.
Celestyal also requested guests currently onboard the Celestyal Journey to disembark the ship by March 7, 2026.
In a statement shared onboard, the company said that it will no longer be able to accommodate its passengers after that date. The Journey is currently docked in the port of Doha in Qatar.
MSC Cruises also cancelled the remainder of its cruise season in the Middle East this week, confirming that all sailings in the region scheduled through early April will no longer go ahead.
