Assa Abloy’s affiliate Traka has announced the release of Traka Touch Core, a compact electronic key cabinet.

According to a press release, the cabinet is designed to deliver professional-grade key control for small and mid-sized organizations and multi-site operations.

The company said it wanted to address the operational challenge arising from managing physical keys, manual key safes, paper logbooks and entry-level electronic cabinets.

Its solution provides controlled access, automated key tracking and a tamper-proof audit trail supporting up to 20 secure key positions.

Thanks to this, companies using it can always know who has which key and when it was taken or returned.

Unlike traditional systems that require network connectivity or complex IT integration, Core operates as a standalone solution.

It also features a self-install design which Traka says enables quick deployment and immediate operational impact, reducing time spent searching for keys, resolving disputes or manually recording transactions.

The solution also offers optional upgrades, including network connectivity and integrated access readers, which become necessary as organizational needs evolve.
