TUI Cruises is cancelling cruises in the Arabian Gulf that were set to take place onboard the Mein Schiff 4 and the Mein Schiff 5 this week.
According to a statement issued by the company, cruises scheduled to depart from Dubai and Doha on Feb. 28, Mar. 1 and Mar. 2, 2026, will no longer go ahead.
“We continue to monitor the developments in the Middle East very closely and are in close contact with the relevant authorities and security experts,” TUI explained.
The company added that travel and safety advisories from Germany’s Federal Foreign Office for the region were considered in making the decision.
“The safety and well-being of our guests and crew are our top priority at all times. All affected guests have already been informed directly by us,” TUI continued.
“We are continuously evaluating the situation and always make decisions based on current official recommendations,” the company said, noting that guests will be immediately and proactively contacted if further adjustments become necessary.
The Mein Schiff 5 was scheduled to offer a seven-night cruise to Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates on Feb. 28, 2026.
Sailing roundtrip from Qatar, the itinerary included visits to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and the island of Sir Bani Yas.
The Mein Schiff 4 was set to offer a similar cruise that started with an overnight stay in Dubai. Guests were able to board the vessel on Mar. 1 or Mar. 2, 2026.
The itinerary also included an overnight stay in Muscat, in addition to visits to Abu Dhabi and Khasab before returning to Dubai.
While the Mein Schiff 4 is currently docked in the UAE’s port of Abu Dhabi, the Mein Schiff 5 remains at the port of Doha in Qatar.
In addition to TUI, MSC Cruises and Celestyal Cruises also decided to cancel sailings in the Middle East this week.
