The Aroya recently kicked off its maiden season in the Arabian Gulf after repositioning from the Red Sea.

Marking Aroya Cruises’ debut in the region, the vessel is now offering a series of two- to seven-night cruises to destinations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar.

For its first sailing, the Aroya is offering a weeklong cruise that departed from Dubai on February 21, 2026.

The itinerary features visits to Khasab, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Sir Bani Yas before returning to Dubai.

The Aroya is set to offer itineraries in the Arabian Gulf through early May, with departures from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Dammam.

According to Aroya’s Itinerary Planning Manager Luisa Sanchis, the departure ports were chosen to maximize guest convenience.

Itineraries also include curated differentiated sailings to mark Eid, ensuring that the company’s offering is culturally resonant, she told Cruise Industry News.

Passengers will also have ample time to explore the destinations, with port calls averaging 12 hours, Sanchis added.

After additional itineraries in the Red Sea, the Aroya is scheduled to reposition to the Eastern Mediterranean for a second summer season.

The deployment includes a series of seven-night cruises departing from the port of Istanbul to destinations in Turkey, Greece and Egypt.

Originally ordered by Genting Hong Kong, the Aroya was built at the Meyer Werft shipyard and entered service in 2016.

The ship underwent a major refurbishment project before entering service for Aroya Cruises in late 2024.
