The Sapphire Princess is wrapping up its season in South America having now kicked off a trans-Atlantic crossing to Europe on Feb. 11, 2026.
Sailing from the port of Buenos Aires, the repositioning voyage will sail to destinations in Brazil, Spain, Morocco and the United Kingdom before arriving in Barcelona.
Ports of call set to be visited include Rio de Janeiro, Arrecife de Lanzarote, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Casablanca and Gibraltar.
As the first Princess ship to arrive in Europe this year, the Sapphire Princess kicks off a spring season in the Mediterranean in early March.
The short season includes a series of seven-night cruises to Italy, Greece, France, Croatia and Montenegro.
In early May, the vessel repositions to Northern Europe for a summer deployment out of the Danish port of Copenhagen.
The Sapphire Princess arrived in South America in late November 2025, following a repositioning voyage via the West Coast.
The 2,600-passenger vessel spent the last few months offering itineraries departing from ports in Argentina and Chile.
In addition to visiting Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, the cruises also featured scenic cruising in Antarctica.
Before arriving in the region, the Sapphire Princess also underwent a drydock at a shipyard in Portland, Oregon.
In addition to preventive maintenance and technical upgrades, the project included the addition of new specialty restaurants.
As previously reported by Cruise Industry News, Princess is now set to return to South America later this year with the larger Majestic Princess.
The Royal-class vessel will offer a series of cruises to Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and more between November 2026 and February 2027.
With the Majestic taking over the itineraries in South America, the Sapphire Princess is scheduled to join its sister ship, the Diamond Princess, for itineraries in Southeast Asia and the Far East.
