Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has welcomed guests back aboard the Bolette following a 16-day drydock at APCL A&P Falmouth that concluded in early February.
The ship entered the facility on Jan. 18 for scheduled maintenance, technical inspections and guest-focused enhancements, according to the company.
“We are delighted to welcome guests back on board the Bolette to enjoy her refreshed spaces and enhanced onboard experiences following a successful dry dock period,” said Samantha Stimpson, chief executive officer of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
Interior refurbishments included refreshed finishes in The Observatory and The Ocean Bar, new carpeting in the main dining room and renovated corridors and stairwells.
More than 50 guest cabin bathrooms were also updated.
The ship’s specialty restaurant, Colours & Tastes, underwent a complete interior transformation featuring refined textures and warm, neutral tones.
From 2026, the venue will offer a new rotating menu inspired by global flavors, including grill, Italian and Asian cuisines.
The Neptune Lounge received upgrades to support Fred. Olsen’s new entertainment partnership with RWS Global, including installation of a new LED wall and aerial performance structures.
New theatre productions will debut on the Bolette in June.
Technical work included hull blasting and repainting, tank cleaning and refurbishments to the tender platforms and stabilizers. The ship was also fitted with more efficient propeller blades to support environmental targets.
A team of 350 people, including subcontractors and more than 40 apprentices, supported the refit.
The Bolette has resumed sailing with a 32-day roundtrip Caribbean cruise from Liverpool.
This marks the ship’s second refit at APCL A&P Falmouth and the seventh dry dock project completed across the APCL Group for Fred. Olsen.
