AIDA Cruises has appointed Anika Birkholz its Vice President of Revenue & Capacity Management starting Feb. 1, 2026, the company said in a statement.

In addition to Revenue Management and Guest Transportation, Birkholz will also be responsible for Customer Care.

She will also succeed Dennis Schrahe as a new member of the AIDA Executive Committee.

Schrahe, who is set to leave the company on April 30, 2026, to pursue a new professional opportunity, will continue to provide support until his departure to ensure a smooth transition.

“With Dr. Anika Birkholz, we are gaining a proven expert for AIDA Cruises with more than 15 years of management experience in international tourism,” said Felix Eichhorn, president of AIDA Cruises.

Birkholz holds a doctorate in business mathematics and a master’s degree in applied statistics.

Having held management positions in the international tourism industry for more than 15 years, she was most recently director commercial for the DACH region at TUI Germany and a member of its management board.

“I am very much looking forward to collaborating with the teams on land and on board and to contributing new ideas. In a dynamic market environment, our aim is to offer guests the best travel experience while simultaneously driving forward our successful growth strategy,” said Birkholz.
