Ambassador Cruise Line and Greatest Hits Radio have expanded the list of performers at their Greatest Hits Radio Escape II cruise scheduled to set sail from the UK next month.
According to a press release, musicians Martin Kemp and Lulu will join the cast of presenters and performers sailing on board Ambience departing from London Tilbury on March 27, 2026.
As reported in October, the seven-night Greatest Hits Radio Escape II will take guests on a trip to Bremerhaven, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge for Bruges, playing hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
“The Greatest Hits Radio Escape II provides a unique opportunity to introduce both loyal listeners and new-to-brand guests to Ambassador’s affordable quality, no-fly holidays, while further enhancing the sense of community that our guests have come to know and love,” said Nicola Harper, head of distribution at Ambassador Cruise Line.
“The Greatest Hits Radio Escape II offers something truly distinctive. Combining world-class talent with our famous ‘warmest welcome at sea’ is a powerful mix, and we are delighted to bring something truly special to the market.”
In addition to quizzes, crafting, cabaret and West End-style shows, guests will enjoy a series of exclusive Greatest Hits Radio events created especially for this trip.
Known for his high-energy DJ sets, the former Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp is expected to keep the party going long into the night.
Joining him on this voyage is singer and songwriter Lulu, who will feature in a live show in the Palladium Theatre and host an intimate “In Conversation With…” event, where she will share stories from her career spanning more than six decades.
Another performer at this voyage back in time is the tribute band The Overtures, Sir Elton John’s former support act, performing covers of The Beatles, The Kinks, The Beach Boys, and The Stones, among others.
Ambassador says that the newest additions will make this one of the most memorable themed cruises ever to sail from the UK.
Onboard entertainment will also feature DJ sets from Jackie Brambles, Jenny Powell and Kate Thorton, exclusive Q&As, and Ken Bruce hosting a special edition of PopMaster.
