The Celebrity Reflection offered a cruise to nowhere over the weekend due to adverse weather conditions in Florida and the Bahamas.
Having sailed from Fort Lauderdale on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, the ship was initially set to visit Key West and Bimini as part of a three-night itinerary.
Guests were informed of the itinerary changes after boarding the ship, via a statement delivered to staterooms.
“As previously shared by our Captain, along with our Chief Meteorologist Craig Setzer, we have been closely monitoring the advancing weather front through the Florida Keys and the Bahamas,” Celebrity said.
“As the system advanced more quickly than expected, the onset of stronger winds is expected to happen,” the company continued.
“This earlier arrival of adverse conditions makes both our stay in Key West, and our departure unsafe, and we had to cancel our visit,” Celebrity added.
The subsequent visit to Bimini was also cancelled due to significantly increased winds, which led to a port closure.
“While this wasn’t the original itinerary planned, our dedicated crew is here to ensure that your experience remains special and memorable despite the weather impact,” the company added.
Celebrity said that the ship’s onboard team offered additional activities on both days at sea for guests to enjoy.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we have no doubt your time with us will be nothing short of amazing.”
Wrapping up the cruise to nowhere, the Celebrity Reflection returned to Port Everglades as scheduled on February 2, 2026.
Sailing from Fort Lauderdale for the winter, the 3,030-passenger ship is currently offering a series of three- and four-night cruises to Florida and the Bahamas.
This week’s itinerary features visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay and the Nassau Cruise Port as part of a four-night cruise.
