Chimu Adventures has announced the launch of Frozen Chapters: A Literary Retreat to Antarctica aboard the Ocean Nova, according to a press release.
The 13-day journey, departing Nov. 25, 2026, is designed for travelers seeking both polar exploration and creative inspiration.
Travelers will cruise through the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands, discovering icebergs, glaciers and wildlife such as Adelie and gentoo penguins, Weddell and leopard seals, and whales.
Three Australian authors, Jane Caro AM, Jock Serong and Hilde Hinton, will guide participants through writing workshops, Writers on Writing panels and a book club focused on The Art of Breaking Ice by Rachael Mead.
Daily Zodiac cruises and shore landings will enable guests to explore bays, channels and landing sites across the Antarctic wilderness.
Optional add-on adventures include overnight camping on the ice, snow-shoeing, paddling excursions and the polar plunge.
Guests can participate in citizen science research programs like the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) GLOBE Observer and seabird surveys.
The Frozen Chapters voyage is priced from 13,848 Australian dollars for a quad-berth cabin, based on the Nov. 25, 2026 departure.
