Margaritaville at Sea and Disney Cruise Lines are adjusting the itineraries of upcoming cruises to the Bahamas due to adverse weather conditions in the region.

Sailing from West Palm Beach today, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise will be forced to change its visit to the Bahamas due to forecasted high winds.

According to a statement sent to guests, the vessel will now sail to the Nassau Cruise Port on a different date to avoid the adverse weather.

“Due to forecasted high winds, we have been advised that a safe arrival and/or departure from the Port of Nassau will not be possible as originally planned on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026,” the company said.

“To ensure you still get to experience the sun-soaked fun Nassau has to offer, your sailing schedule has been modified,” Margaritaville at Sea added.

Offering a three-night cruise to the Bahamas, the ship will now arrive in Nassau on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026.

To accommodate the change, a previously scheduled day at sea has been moved to Saturday, the company added.

Margaritaville at Sea noted that any pre-purchased shore excursions for Nassau will be moved to the new date automatically.

“Captain Panagiotis will keep monitoring the weather to ensure the safety and comfort of both our guests and crew, which remains our top priority,” the company stated.

Disney Cruise Line is also adjusting the itinerary of the current cruise to the Bahamas onboard the Disney Wish.

The 2022-built vessel is sailing from Port Canaveral today for a three-night voyage that initially featured visits to Castaway Cay and Nassau.

“We have been monitoring a weather system that will impact our planned stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay,” the company said in a statement to guests onboard.

“Given anticipated strong winds and adverse sea conditions predicted in the Bahamas overnight on Saturday and during the day on Sunday, we will not be able to visit Castaway Cay as scheduled,” the letter added.

Instead of visiting the company’s private destination, the Disney Wish will spend an extra day in Nassau, the company stated.

“The safety and well-being of our guests and crew members is our highest priority. We appreciate your understanding regarding this necessary itinerary change.”

The statement said that the revised itinerary will provide an experience that “guests have come to expect from Disney Cruise Line.”

Any pre-reserved shore excursions for Castaway Cay will be automatically cancelled and removed from guests’ accounts, Disney added.
