Blue Zephyr Cruises has launched a new small ship cruise operation in the Greek Isles with the 114-passenger Blue Zephyr.
The Greek-American owned company will operate eight-day and 13-day itineraries departing from Athens starting in 2026, according to a press release.
“What truly sets us apart is our 25-year heritage and deep expertise in the maritime and hospitality industry. This long-standing experience allows us to offer a refined yachting lifestyle that larger vessels cannot replicate,” said Ifigeneia Fanouraki of Blue Zephyr Cruises.
“With only 57 cabins, we provide an intimate atmosphere and access to secluded coves and boutique ports—like Nafpaktos or Ithaca—where guests can experience the authentic side of Greece. Our focus is on the luxury of time and a gourmet, farm-to-table culinary experience.”
The company is targeting travelers who value privacy, high-end personalized service and the opportunity to connect deeply with the culture of each destination.
“We do not wish to limit ourselves to specific countries or strict age groups. Our source market is anyone, from any part of the world, who truly appreciates the finer things in life and the unique experience of life on board,” said Fanouraki.
“We cater to travelers who value privacy, high-end personalized service and the opportunity to connect deeply with the culture of each destination. Whether they are seasoned cruisers or first-time explorers, our guests are those who value quality and intimacy.”
The Blue Zephyr was originally built in 1991 and fully renovated in 2025. The ship features 57 cabins with a total capacity of 114 guests and 65 crew members.
Eight-day itineraries start at 3,050 euros per person. The 13-day Grand Aegean Journey starts at 5,550 euros per person.
“For our inaugural stages, we are focusing on an extended Mediterranean season. However, the Blue Zephyr is a versatile vessel designed for global cruising,” said Fanouraki.
“While our current 2026 focus remains on the Greek Isles, we are actively exploring niche winter destinations that align with our boutique character. We will be announcing our off-season strategy in the coming months.”
Kalama Shipping acquired the ship from APT in December 2025. The ship was formerly known as the Caledonian Sky.
