Dominica’s cruise ports welcomed maiden calls from Royal Caribbean International, Cunard and Noble Caledonia in recent weeks.
According to Discover Dominica, the Brilliance of the Seas arrived in the island country for the first time on January 23, 2026.
The Royal Caribbean vessel became the ninth to make a maiden call at the Caribbean port during the 2025-26 season.
To celebrate the inaugural visit, a plaque exchange ceremony was held onboard with participation from key tourism and port stakeholders.
The Brilliance of the Seas arrived at the Port of Roseau as part of a seven-night cruise to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean that departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Soon after welcoming the Radiance-class ship, Roseau hosted another maiden call with the first arrival of the Queen Victoria.
The Cunard vessel docked at the port on January 24, 2026, becoming the tenth ship to make an inaugural call to Dominica this winter.
A plaque exchange ceremony was also held onboard to celebrate the visit, which was part of a 35-night cruise to the Caribbean.
Sailing roundtrip from Southampton in the United Kingdom, the month-long itinerary also featured visits to nine other destinations in the Caribbean, as well as ports in the North Atlantic.
The Hebridean Sky also made its debut in Dominica this month with a maiden call at the Cabrits Cruise Ship Berth in Portsmouth on January 15, 2026.
Discover Dominica marked the inaugural visit with a plaque exchange attended by representatives from the government, along with the parliamentary representative and mayor of Portsmouth.
“These calls play an important role in strengthening Dominica’s cruise offerings and community impact,” the tourism authority said in a social media update.
Other ships that arrived in the country for the first time during the 2025-26 season include Virgin’s Valiant Lady, the Celebrity Ascent and more.
