Ponant Explorations has unveiled that 40 departures sailing in 2026 and 2027 will be offered in collaboration with partners, exploring themes of art, music, gastronomy and well-being.
The company said in a press release that, through its partnership with Ducasse Conseil, which has brought French haute cuisine onboard, a Michelin-starred chef from Alain Ducasse restaurants will be on select voyages.
Two gala dinners will be on offer: Icelandic Mosaic aboard L’Austral and Island of Beauty and Italian shores aboard Le Dumont d’Urville.
Other gastronomic cruises in partnership with Relais & Châteaux, the magazine Cuisine et Vins de France and Club des Chefs des Chefs.
A featured voyage will welcome Cristeta Comerford, former executive chef of the White House, who will provide a narrative and immersive experience through her dishes.
All Gastronomy and Oenology voyages are available for viewing on the company’s website.
Ponant added that there will also be voyages focused on art.
For example, one Adriatic voyage is offered in partnership with the Pinault Collection, featuring its managing director Emma Lavigne and multidisciplinary artist Edith Dekyndt.
Several cruises are aimed at art enthusiasts, including one departure featuring experts from the celebrated auction house Christie’s for fascinating talks onboard.
Offered in partnership with Jazz at Lincoln Center and Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents, Hughes Kieffer, director and programmer of Marseille Jazz des Cinq Continents, has invited artists from the international jazz scene, including Estonian singer, pianist and composer Kadri Voorand.
Ponant added that it is also renewing its partnership with the Opéra National de Paris for two summer departures featuring dancers from the Opéra Ballet, including Roxane Stojanov in the Mediterranean in 2026 and Amandine Albisson in the Atlantic in 2027.
Guests will experience performances, as well as discussions, lectures, and screenings with the dancers, and ballet classes led by a teacher from the Opéra National de Paris.
