The Norwegian Viva recently kicked off the first of two 14-night cruises it is set to offer from Galveston this season.

After debuting at its new seasonal homeport in late 2025, the Prima-class vessel sailed from Texas for the longer cruise on January 10, 2026.

The ship is now sailing to destinations in the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including San Juan in Puerto Rico, St. John’s in Antigua, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

Other ports of call set to be visited during the two-week-long cruise include George Town in the Cayman Islands and Cozumel in Mexico.

Before returning to Galveston, the Norwegian Viva is also scheduled to make a visit to Norwegian’s private island destination in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.

In late January, the 3,215-guest ship embarks on a second 14-night cruise sailing roundtrip from Galveston.

Following a similar itinerary, the voyage also sails to the same destinations in the Western and Eastern Caribbean but replaces a visit to Great Stirrup Cay with a stop in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

In February, the Norwegian Viva resumes its series of regular seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean.

Departing from Galveston every Saturday, the 2023-built vessel sails to Mexico, Belize and Honduras, visiting Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatán.

According to Norwegian, the cruise is highlighted by a stop in Harvest Caye, a resort-style private destination in Southern Belize.

The ship continues to sail from Galveston through mid-April, when it is set to embark on a repositioning voyage to Europe.

Opening its summer deployment in the Western Mediterranean, the 15-night cruise sails from Miami to Barcelona, Spain.

The Norwegian Viva is scheduled to return to Galveston in late October 2026 for a second winter season sailing from Texas.
