Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam recently sailed from PortMiami for a 21-night cruise to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
One of the longest itineraries offered by the company in the region, the “Ultimate Caribbean Escape” voyage is set to visit 16 destinations.
After departing from Florida, the Zuiderdam headed to the Bahamas for a visit to Holland America’s private island destination of Half Moon Cay.
The three-week cruise continued with visits to destinations in the Eastern Caribbean, including Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic, San Juan in Puerto Rico and Basseterre in St. Kitts.
Other ports of call set to be visited include Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Philipsburg in St. Maarten, St John’s in Antigua, Fort-de-France in Martinique and Bridgetown in Barbados.
In the Southern Caribbean, the Zuiderdam is also scheduled to sail to Scarborough in Tobago, St. George’s in Grenada, Oranjestad in Aruba and Willemstad in Curaçao.
Before returning to Miami, the 2002-built ship visits the Western Caribbean with stops in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico.
Upon arriving back in Florida in late January, the Zuiderdam is set to offer an additional cruise to the Caribbean before embarking on a repositioning cruise to the West Coast.
The 15-night cruise will be offered in partnership with the History Channel and includes a full transit of the Panama Canal that sails between Miami and San Diego.
The 1,440-guest ship is then set to offer a unique 12-night voyage to the Mexican Riviera and Baja Mexico.
Sailing roundtrip from San Diego, the “Historical Baja Peninsula” itinerary features visits to Loreto, La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán. On its way back to California, the cruise also sails to Topolobampo, Guaymas and Ensenada.
