The Celebrity Equinox recently departed from Argentina for a 14-night cruise to Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.
Sailing roundtrip from the port of Buenos Aires, the itinerary is highlighted by two days of scenic cruising around Elephant Island, Paradise Bay and the Antarctic Peninsula.
In addition to cruising around Cape Horn, the cruise also features visits to Puerto Madryn, Ushuaia, Port Stanley and Montevideo.
Currently operating a winter season in South America, the Celebrity Equinox is set to offer two additional cruises to Antarctica in January.
In mid-February, the vessel offers other itineraries in the region, including 14-night cruises to Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, the Falkland Islands and Uruguay.
The itineraries are highlighted by visits to destinations like Punta del Este, a resort city located between the River Plate and the Atlantic Ocean.
The 2009-built ship is then scheduled to offer eight-night cruises to Brazil in March, visiting ports of call like Santos, Ilhabela and Rio de Janeiro.
Upon completing its winter season, the Celebrity Equinox offers a trans-Atlantic crossing to the Western Mediterranean.
The 17-night repositioning cruise sails from Buenos Aires to Barcelona and features visits to ports of call in Brazil and Spain, such as Salvador, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Cádiz and Málaga.
The 3,250-guest ship is then set to offer a summer deployment in Europe before returning to South America in December.
In addition to itineraries to Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, the Falkland Islands and Brazil, Celebrity’s 2026-27 season in the region includes three additional cruises to Antarctica in January.
Other large-ship brands currently sailing to the White Continent include Princess, which is offering 17-night cruises to the region onboard the Sapphire Princess in 2025-26.
The 2,600-passenger vessel will be replaced by the slightly larger Majestic Princess for the 2026-27 winter.
