The MSC Meraviglia will be based in the Southern Caribbean for the first time during the 2027-28 winter season.

According to deployment published on MSC Cruises’ website, the 2017-built vessel is set to offer a trans-Atlantic crossing to Martinique in early November 2027 to position itself in the region for the winter season.

The 14-night repositioning voyage departs from Southampton and features visits to destinations in Europe, the Atlantic and the Caribbean.

Before arriving in Fort-de-France, the ship will visit Le Havre and Ponta Delgada, as well as St. John’s in Antigua, Kingstown in Saint Vincent, and Bridgetown in Barbados.

The MSC Meraviglia is then expected to offer weeklong cruises departing from Martinique and Guadeloupe starting, respectively, on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, 2027.

Additional details about the vessel’s departures and itineraries are set to be announced at a later date.

After spending the past few years sailing from New York City, the MSC Meraviglia is soon scheduled to return to the Western Mediterranean for a summer season.

Ending MSC’s farewell season in the U.S. Northeast, the 4,500-guest vessel is set to reposition to Southern Europe in mid-April 2026.

After offering weeklong cruises to Spain, Italy, Tunisia and France through October, the Meraviglia is set to arrive in Miami for the 2026-27 season.

The 167,600-ton ship is then set to replace the MSC Virtuosa in the UK, offering a series of cruises departing from Southampton during the summer of 2027.

As the original ship in MSC’s Meraviglia class, the MSC Meraviglia was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France and entered service in early 2017.

Four additional ships later joined the series: the MSC Bellissima in 2019, the MSC Grandiosa in 2019, the MSC Virtuosa in 2021 and the MSC Euribia in 2023.

In addition to the repositioning of the Meraviglia in the Southern Caribbean, MSC’s 2027-28 season will also be highlighted by the debut of the new MSC World Atlantic, which enters service in Port Canaveral in November 2027
