Villa Vie Residences recently formed a new holding company named Residential Cruise Holdings Incorporated.

According to its website, the holding serves as the parent company for the “world’s most innovative residential cruise ship concepts,” including Villa Vie Residences and Avora Residences.

While the first was launched in 2022 and currently operates the Odyssey, the second is behind the recently announced Project Lumina.

The new brand aims to launch a luxury residential cruising product onboard a yet-to-be-acquired upscale cruise ship.

“We are not a cruise line. We are stewards of a new way of living, where the freedom of the open ocean meets the permanence of home. Our portfolio companies create enduring communities for those who seek life without borders,” RCH stated.

International registration data shows that the new company was registered in the Marshall Islands on December 15, 2025.

On its website, RCH said that its mission is to “create and nurture world-class residential cruise ship communities that offer an unparalleled lifestyle for those who seek life beyond conventional boundaries.”

The company said it intends to build “infrastructure for a new era of living—one where residents enjoy the freedom of exploration while maintaining the comfort, community, and permanence of home.”

The holding’s assets are said to serve distinct segments of “discerning individuals who share a common desire: to live life on their own terms.”

Residential Cruise Holdings is led by Mikael Peterson, who serves as founder and executive chairman, and Kathy Villalba, who serves as chief executive officer.

According to the company’s website, the holding is also offering investment opportunities for partners “aiming at shaping the future of residential cruise ship living.”

“Residential Cruise Holdings operates at the intersection of real estate, hospitality, and cruise industries: a unique position that offers compelling growth opportunities.”

The company added that the market for alternative living arrangements continues to expand as high-net-worth individuals seek lifestyle flexibility, tax optimization and unique experiences.

“Our portfolio companies are positioned to capture this growing demand with proven concepts and experienced leadership,” RCH added.
