The Silver Muse recently resumed revenue service for Silversea after undergoing a major drydock update in Europe.
Cruise Industry News, the project included a significant berth addition, which increased the ship’s capacity by roughly seven percent.
With larger suites making room for smaller accommodations on decks 9, 10 and 11, the 2017-built vessel is now able to carry 632 passengers at double occupancy.
As the first ship in a series that also includes the Silver Moon and the Silver Dawn, the Silver Muse originally had capacity for 596 guests.
Additional new features added to the ship include S.A.L.T., which is described by Silversea as a “pioneering culinary experience.”
Featuring changing menus inspired by destinations being visited, the specialty venue replaced the ship’s former Asian restaurant, Indochine.
As part of the drydock, the ship’s La Dolce Vita main dining room was reduced to create new technical spaces.
Silversea also carried out routine maintenance, class inspections and routine work during the drydock, which took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo, Italy.
Set to spend the winter sailing in Europe and the Atlantic Islands, the Silver Muse welcomed guests back on Dec. 14, 2025.when thevessel departed from the Italian port of Civitavecchia for a seven-night cruise to the Western Mediterranean.
The itinerary included visits to destinations in Spain, Italy and France, such as Valencia, Barcelona, Genoa and Marseille.
Sailing between Barcelona and Lisbon, the Muse is now offering a holiday cruise to the Canary Islands, Iberia and Morocco.
The 14-night itinerary is highlighted by a visit to Funchal on Dec. 31, 2025, where the vessel will anchor for the town’s New Year’s Eve firework display.
