The Costa Diadema recently kicked off a series of seven-night itineraries to Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
After concluding a schedule of short cruises in Brazil, the ship is now offering weeklong cruises that depart from three homeports: Santos, Itajaí and Buenos Aires.
For the first sailing of the series, the 3,700-guest vessel arrived at the Port of Santos on December 21, 2025.
In addition to three days of cruising in the Atlantic, the ship’s regular weeklong itinerary also features a visit to Montevideo.
The deployment runs through late March when the Diadema is scheduled to resume its schedule of short cruises in Brazil.
As part of Costa Cruises’ 2025-26 season in South America, the 2014-built vessel arrived in Brazil in early November.
Before starting its regular schedule of cruises, the ship served as a floating hotel in Belém along with the MSC Seaview.
In a unique operation, the vessels welcomed participants of the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP 30).
The ship then arrived in Santos in late November, kicking off a series of three- and four-night cruises to Ilhabela that also departed from Itajaí.
Before starting its repositioning voyage back to Europe, the Costa Diadema is set to offer additional short cruises in the region.
In addition to the vessel, Costa Cruises’ season in South America also features the Costa Favolosa, which is currently offering longer itineraries departing from Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.
In related news, the Carnival-owned brand recently announced plans for its 2026-27 winter deployment in the region.
The Costa Diadema will be joined by the Costa Serena for three- to nine-night cruises sailing from Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
The season will be highlighted by a repositioning cruise via Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, which will be part of a world cruise being offered by the Serena in late 2026.
