Holland America Line is launching what it calls a once-in-a-generation celebration in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

According to a press release, the special program will feature unique collaborations with brands rooted in America’s history, as well as a themed cruise onboard the Zuiderdam.

Sailing on July 4, 2026, the seven-day “America’s 250th Celebration: Stars and Stripes” is designed to bring together tradition, history and specially curated programming.

Holland America said that through the anniversary voyage and strategic partnership with brands like Pan Am it is connecting “the nation’s rich legacy of tradition and innovation with its own commitment to heritage, craftsmanship and meaningful experiences at sea.”

“America’s 250th anniversary is a milestone that deserves to be honored with intention, and we are proud to partner with American heritage brands to help us celebrate the nation’s rich history,” said Kacy Cole, Holland America Line’s chief marketing officer.

“Through these collaborations and thoughtfully curated programming, we are excited to commemorate America’s past, present and future in a way that is uniquely Holland America, reflecting our legacy of exploration and authentic experiences,” she added.

As part of its collaborations with American brands, Holland America recently launched a partnership with Pan Am for a cruise inspired by the airline’s Great Circle Route.

The “28-Day Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage” is inspired by the brand’s clipper routes and sets sail in 2027.

Celebrating the golden age of global travel, the cruise will visit 18 ports along Pan Am’s original route in the Caribbean.

Holland America said that additional limited-edition co-branded offerings will be unveiled in the lead-up to July 4, 2026.

Sailing from Boston, the commemorative seven-day “America’s 250th Celebration: Stars and Stripes” cruise will honor the nation’s 250th anniversary by showcasing its heritage and enduring traditions.

The voyage will feature a series of curated programs, including a late-evening departure from Boston, with the ship positioned for a view of the city’s skyline and fireworks display from a distance.

Other experiences include a July 4 party in the Lido area, as well as renowned live music experiences tailored with The Soundtrack of America, a musical journey through iconic American genres.

Additional activities include a specially curated American-themed scavenger hunt and a cooking demonstration highlighting classic flavors and stories from America’s culinary heritage.
